Mullein is a very important herb in Polish folklore, named after deity Dziewanna or Devana, the goddess of wild nature, forests, hunting and the moon, Maiden protector of the wolves and the people, called upon with Thunder Candles (candles made of mullein stalk).
Mullein is a respiratory tonic + anti-inflammatory, an expectorant, and emollient. Physiologically, helpful to soothe + clear the lungs. May help produce a productive cough when conditions feel stuck, wet or harsh & too dry. Opens lungs + bronchial passageways. May help with inflammation. Work with the spirit dose to work with grief.
